Welcome to HOME BLDR ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using HOME BLDR, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

• Email address
• Name and display name
• Profile photo, if you add one
• How you signed in (email and password, Google, or Apple)

Your project

When you first set up HOME BLDR, we ask for details about the home you are building. These are required to create your project:

• The address of the property you are building on
• Your target start and completion dates
• The size of the home in square feet
• Your construction budget

We use these to set up your timeline, size your checklist, and tailor the guidance you see. We do not share your project address or your budget with anyone.

What you add as you build

• Checklist progress, completed and archived items, and worksheet entries
• Notes you write, and answers you give to the builder questions
• Photos, videos, and documents you upload — including contracts, bids, invoices, and permits
• Custom checklist items you create

Information collected automatically

• Device and app information — device model, operating system version, app version, and language
• How you use the app — which screens you open, and actions such as starting a subscription or completing a stage
• Identifiers — including your device's advertising ID on Android, and identifiers our analytics and attribution providers assign to your device
• Approximate location — our attribution providers derive an approximate city or country from your IP address. We do not request or use your device's location, and the app asks for no location permission.
• Subscription information — whether you have an active subscription, which plan, and when it renews or lapses. Your card details never reach us; Google Play and Apple handle payment.

We do not collect: your precise location, your contacts, your calendar, your messages, your browsing history, audio recordings, or health information.

HOME BLDR is built on services run by other companies. Each receives only what it needs:

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process your transactions and manage your account
• Send you updates, notifications, and promotional materials (with your consent)
• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security vulnerabilities
• Comply with legal obligations

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and encrypted at rest by our storage providers.

However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers. Firebase, RevenueCat and PostHog process data on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes above. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Advertising and referral partners. This is different, and we want to be clear about it. So that we can tell which ads and which partner referrals bring people to HOME BLDR, and so we can pay partners what they are owed:

• AppsFlyer shares install, session and subscription events, along with device identifiers including your advertising ID, with the advertising networks we run campaigns on.
• GoMarketMe shares referral, attribution and conversion events — including that a subscription was purchased — with the affiliate or partner who referred you.

These partners are not acting purely on our behalf, so we treat this as sharing rather than processing, and we disclose it as such on our Google Play Data safety listing.

What is never shared this way: your name, your email address, your project address, your budget, your notes, your photos, or your documents.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred
• With Your Consent: We may share information with third parties when you give us explicit consent to do so

Analytics and advertising choices

HOME BLDR does not currently offer an in-app setting to turn off analytics or attribution. You can limit what advertising partners receive using your device's own controls:

• Android — Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID, which stops apps from receiving it.
• iOS — HOME BLDR asks permission before tracking you across other apps and websites. If you decline, no tracking identifier is shared. You can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
• Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your HOME BLDR account and everything stored with it — your profile, checklist progress, notes, photos, documents, and your sign-in — at any time.

Email support@homebldr.app and we will delete your account and its data for you.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Third-Party Links

Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
